She was predeceased by: her husband James Henry Cordes; her father Yewell Dayton Clifton; and her sister Ann Heath. She is survived by: her mother Eva Mae Holloway Clifton; her children, April Cordes Ward (Greg) and Matthew James Cordes; her siblings, Valerie Cordes (Kenneth), Tina Shugarts (Brian), Yvetta Chandler (Ty) and Dayton Clifton (Mary); and her grandchildren, Katiah Ward, Trenten Cordes, Tyce Ward and Abigail Duncan.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Moss Funeral Home (1901 2nd Ave NW, Cullman, AL 35055). The lying in state was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Temple Baptist Church.
