With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lucas Wayne Darnell of Hanceville, Alabama, born in Birmingham, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 20, 2025 at the age of 33. He was predeceased by: his grandfather William Henry Darnell; and his uncle Stanley Darnell. He is survived by: his mother Myra Darnell (Chad Rice); his half-brother Josh McDonald; his stepsiblings, Wesley Wilson, Austin Rice and Haley Rice; his pet Buddy; his grandmother Gertrude Darnell; his aunt Amanda Lambert; and his cousins, Jacob Lambert, Justin Lambert and Jessica Day.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hanceville Funeral Home (100 Michelle St NW, Hanceville, AL 35077). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel (100 Michelle St NW, Hanceville, AL 35077).
