It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dortha M. Shadix in Hanceville, Alabama, who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Jasper Powell and Daisy Thomas Powell; and her husband Hinds Leon Shadix. She is survived by: her children, Dennis Shadix (Kim) and JoAnn McGuire (Randy); her grandchildren, Dusty Shadix (April), Heather Murphey (Trever) and Blane McGuire (Lyndsay); and her great grandchildren, Lexi, Liberty, Lakin Shadix, Evan, Koltan Franks, Kyndall Murphey, Blake, Zeke, Heidi McGuire and Kole Davis.
