He was predeceased by: his parents, David L. Ryan and Ilene Ryan (Hays); his wife Shirley Ryan; his daughter Cynthia Thornton; and his siblings, Jimmy Ryan, Johnnie Tanguy and Judy Ryan.
He is survived by: his sons, Anthony Christopher Ryan and Ronald Ryan; his grandchildren, Aaron Ryan, Matthew Ryan, Joanna Sessions, Jennifer Thompson, Jamie White, Whitney Harvell, Christin Williams, Alex Ryan and Bobbie Ryan; and his sisters, Janie Rice and Jackie Jackson. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
