She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoyt McElroy and May McElroy; her husband Benny Ray Carlisle; her son Danny Ray Sweatmon; and her siblings, Imogene Davis Mead, Christine Davis Osborne, Evelyn Davis Ayers and Aubrey Davis.

She is survived by: her daughter Peggy Sweatmon Bates (Perry); her grandchildren, Ryan Douglas Lambert (Kim), Amanda Nicole Vaughn (Nick) and Julie Bates; and her sister Ernestine Davis Gray. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, & friends.
