We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2023, at the age of 92, Charles Mays of Hamilton, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Mays and Houston Mays; and his siblings, Paul, Earnestine and Maxine.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline; his children, Ronald Mays (Pam), Sidney Mays (Lisa) and Charlene Johnson (BR); his grandchildren, Jessica Caspers (Paul), Brandon Johnson (Shelby), Daniel Johnson (Kaitlyn), Phillip Mays, Jordan Flores (Lorenzo) and Rachel Stewart (Zach); and his great grandchildren, Peter, Jacqueline, Charles, Lucas Caspers, Ellis, Rhodes Johnson, Jackson Flores and Esther Stewart.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks for donations to the United Way of Central Alabama to continue building on the legacy of service he leaves behind.
