With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bobby Gene Yerby of Hamilton, Alabama, who passed away on October 31, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Yerby and Edith Yerby (Randolph); and his siblings, Tom, Joe, Daniel, Bill Yerby and Jackie Cantrell.

He is survived by: his wife Nellie Yerby (Miller); his children, Terrence Yerby and Nellie Jane Short (Robert); his grandchildren, Daniel Short, Matthew Short, Adam Short, Sinjun Yerby and Kaileen Yerby; and his great grandchildren, Zachery Short and Tyler Short. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
