He is survived by: his wife Willie Neal Curtis Howell; his children, Richard Harlan Howell (Juanell) and Melinda Lou Howell Gentle (Ronald); his siblings, Julia Rose Burleson and James David Howell; and his grandchildren, Robert Tyler Howell, Megan S. Howell Love (Matt), Margaret Rose Gentle, Tucker Thomas Gentle (Melissa) and Luke Wayne Gentle. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
