He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Garrison and Florine Garrison; his son Ronnie Dewayne Garrison; his son-in-law Bob Marlin; and his siblings, T. V. Garrison, Jimmy Garrison, Junior Garrison, James Garrison and Annette Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Garrison; his children, Sammy Garrison Jr. (Melody), Joe Garrison, Brenda Jiles (Trevor), Gail Marlin and Lisa Hanback (Eddie); and his siblings, Virginia Clark and Travis Garrison (Barbara). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Nichols Funeral Home - Haleyville (1607 11th Ave, Haleyville, AL 35565). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
