He is survived by: his wife Joanne Hughes Benefield; his daughter Mary Kathryn Waters (Peyton Waters III); his siblings, Rebecca Benefield Dobbs, Sandy Benefield Conville, Shirley Benefield Kilpatrick and Ricky Benefield; and his grandson Peyton Donald Waters, IV.
