She was predeceased by: her husbands, Emric Whitman and Cook Garrison; her grandchildren, Marty Hamby, Jeremy Hamby and Connie Turner; her parents, John Santford and Annie Williams Dover; and her siblings, Jones Dover, Josie Mae Bean, Irma Bean and Lorene Carey.
She is survived by: her daughter Luneida Hamby; her adoptive son James Roland Whitman; her siblings, Harold Dover, Buster Dover (Lucille), Annie Maude Thornton and Mildred Thornton; her grandchildren, Frances Cornelius, Alan Hamby, Tommy Hamby and O'Neal Hamby; and her great grandchildren, Brooke Cruce, Amanda Shaver, Bradly Hamby, Heath Hamby, Lori Ann Brimer, Brandon Hamby and Emily Green.
