She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Mitchell and Olga Mitchell. She is survived by: her husband Barry Petty; her children, Barry Mitchell Petty II and Emma Katherine Petty; and her sisters, Leah Butler, Martha Lee Mitchell and Tracy Chisolm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Autism Association in her memory.
