With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merlene W. Brown (Haleyville, Alabama), born in Houston, Alabama, who passed away on June 13, 2018 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Dalton Brown; her parents, Nolin Williams and Marietta Williams; and her grandson Jeremiah Brown. She is survived by: her brother David Miller; her children, James Donald Brown (Karen) and Katrina Sue Godsey; her brother Larry D. Williams (Janice); her grandchildren, Eric Godsey (Andrea), Toni Payne (Jacob), Christina Harbison and Nicholas Harbison; her great grandchildren, Santiago Vaqueiro, Kobe Payne, Kaden Brown, Kayla Brown, Ty Payne and Nathaniel Harbison; her brother Jeff Wiggins; and also Carol Holt.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church WMU in memory of Merlene Brown or Southern Care New Beacon Hospice.
