It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Rea Hicks of Haleyville, Alabama, who passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father James Bohannon; her husband L. C. Hicks; her sons, Jim Rea, Justin Rea, Jerry Rea, Rick Rea and David "Dee" Rea; her mother Sara Ellin Bohannon; and her siblings, Betty Bohannon, Gene Bohannon, Ruby Bohannon, Delmar Bohannon, Dorothy Bohannon, Arley Bohannon, Sidney Bohannon and Nellie Bohannon.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jonathan Rea (Skylar Robbins), Jeffery Rea (Haley), Candie Rea (Mary Bradley), Marie Wilson, Thomas Rea, Bobby Rea, Lexus Mitchell, Kassie Roberts, Brandon Rea and Chase Rea; her great grandchildren, Destiny Hairrell, Emily Hairrell, Jackson Rea, Ella Rea and Hudson Rea; and her great great grandchildren, Mila Kellam and Raya Kellam. She is also survived by many other great grandchildren.
