She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Amon Gray and Annie Pearl Rose Gray; her husband Joel Guy Wakefield; and her siblings, Tor Cheatham, Hardy Gray, Theron Gray, Edna Baughn, Audie Pendley, Shirley Horton, Lester Gray and Rose Abbott.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Wakefield (Glenda), Brenda Carrington (Tom), Lenette Baker (Allen) and Terry Farris (Danny); her sister Bert Harbin; and her grandchildren, Daniel Wakefield (Sandy), Samuel Wakefield (Lauren), Patrick Wakefield (Serra), Matthew Carrington (April), Nancy Carrington, Robert Baker (Sasha), Benjamin Baker (Jennifer), Ashley Thompson (Jimmy), Amanda Jones (Robbie) and Daniel Farris. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pinkard Funeral Home (1308 21st St, Haleyville, AL 35565). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
