He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Gardner Cavender; his children, Rhonda Cavender Hudson (LB), Jonathan Cavender (Stacy) and Danita Cavender Hulsey (Keith); his siblings, Earl Cavender and Lois Canida; his grandchildren, Tyler Hudson (Emily), Alex Sartain (Quinton), Cassie Hudson, Madison Hulsey, John Riley Cavender and Abby Hulsey; and his great grandchildren, James Tripp Hudson, Quinton Gray Sartain, Kylie Kate Hudson and Sutton Grace Sartain.
