She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Godsey and Roxie Godsey; her sons, Gary and Terry Nelson; her husband Floyd Nelson; her brothers, Horace and Hubert; and her great grandchild Eli Poore.

She is survived by: her sister Helen Cagle; her children, Bonnie Hill, Cathy Godsey, Ronnie Nelson (Donna) and Jerry Nelson; and her grandchildren, Sherie Poore, Kara Nelson, Michael Hill, John Godsey, Jennifer Waters, Nicole Nelson, Chris Godsey, Andrea Taylor and Brittney Godsey. She is also survived by great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
