It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Washington Vandiver of Haleyville, Alabama, who passed away on August 19, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, H. E. Vandiver and Lizzie Vandiver; and his siblings, Willie Vandiver, Archie Vandiver, John Vandiver, Lecie Green and Evelyn Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Vandiver; his daughters, Tracy Vandiver and Shelia Baker (Tim); his grandson Justin Cornelison; and his siblings, Ray Vandiver and Elizabeth Hester. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
