She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Strobel and Yvetta Strobel; her former husband Marion "Gene" Nelson; her children, Ricky Jo Nelson, Eugene E. Nelson, Mary Nelson, Raymond Lane and Lecia Seaton; and her grandson Lil Ricky Jo Taylor.
She is survived by: her sisters, Norma Baker and Mary Simpson (Lee); and her children, Linda Hunt, Rose Nelson (Chris Hyde), Betty Taylor (Gary), Terrie Garcia (Frank), Jerry Nelson and Carrie Cabello. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
