He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Carson and Lucille Carson; his siblings, Doris Porter, Donald Carson and David Carson; his son Curtis Carson; his grandchildren, Randall Speakman and Landis Morgan; and his son-in-law Scott Bell.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Carson; his children, Kathy Gast (Richard), Sandy Speakman (Randy), Shirley Borden (Ricky), Sharon Vandiver (Stanley) and Bridget Bell (Bobby Abbott); his sister Della Mae Frost; and his brother-in-law Sam Porter. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
