It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Curtis Ray Nix of Haleyville, Alabama, born in Jasper, Alabama, who passed away on March 1, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Millie Decie Blackwell Nix and Troy Curtis Nix; and his siblings, James William Nix, Dolly "Dot" Mae Sides, Violet "Vernie" Lovenia Barnes and Ester Norene Pair.
He is survived by: his wife Lovinnia Jane Nix; his children, Deanna Maria Whisenhunt (Larry), Candace Diona Kimbrell (Stan) and Jeremy Keith Vines (Monica); his grandchildren, Whitney Lee McNutt (Zach), Khloe McKell Kimbrell and Kashlyn Rae Whisenhunt; and his great grandchild Zander Lee McNutt. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.
