He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Rowell and Lillian Rowell; his wife Carolyn Henderson Rowell; his son Heath Rowell; and his siblings, Clarence, Jimmy Rowell, Betty Jean Hicks and Maylene Rowell.
He is survived by: his daughter Heather Cantrell; and his grandchildren, Samantha Rowell and David Cantrell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
