He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Byrd-Canida and Luella Byrd-Canida; his wife Cathy; and his brothers, Robert, Johnny and Vester Canida.
He is survived by: his children, David Canida (Jennifer) and Christine Canida (Lee Kennedy); and his siblings, Larry, Billy Canida, Joyce Milligan and Jeanette Varnon. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
