She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Slaughter and Anne Nunnely Slaughter; and her brother Dr. William Gaines Slaughter. She is survived by: her husband Dr. T. B. Stringfellow, Jr.; her children, Carol Stringfellow Welle (Craig), Allen Barnes Stringfellow (Lynda Leigh) and Margaret Postell (Allen); her grandchildren, Mary Ellen Bedsole (Shane) and Brandon Allen Postell; and her great grandchildren, Parker Allen Bedsole, Carter Shane Bedsole, Kiersten Elizabeth Bedsole, Lauren Kaityn Bedsole and Caroline Rose Bedsole.
