She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Earl Hughes; her mother L. C. Lauderdale, Sr.; her granddaughter Misty Elizabeth Romine; her son-in-law Mac McAlpine; and her siblings, Juanita Bull Hall, Kathryn Smith, Jack Lauderdale, Gene Lauderdale and L. C. Lauderdale, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Chip Hughes, Suzanne Hughes Tyson and Beth McAlpine; her grandchildren, Will Hughes Romine (Christi Lee), Elizabeth Hughes Tyson McKinney (Colton), Leah Suzanne Tyson, Frank "Wyn" McAlpine, IV and Charles Scott McAlpine; her great grandchildren, Misty Elizabeth "Emme" Romine, Andi Christine Romine and Benjamin Alton Romine; and her sister Willodyne Martin.
