She was predeceased by: her parents, Sanford Barton and Allie Barton; her husband John Posey, Jr.; her sister Francis Brooks; her daughter Susan Posey Logan; her son-in-law Phil Logan; and her brother-in-law Jack Brooks.
She is survived by: her sons, David Posey (Mitzie) and John Posey III (Wenxia Li); her grandchildren, Celeste Whiteside (Sean), Kim Finkelstein, Maridy Shiner (Chris) and Jesse Posey (Maria); her great grandchildren, John Whiteside, Posey Whiteside, Logan Finkelstein, Katheryn Shiner, Harrison Shiner and Julia Shiner; and her nephews, Randy Brooks and Brad Brooks. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
