He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Ricks Hobbs; his son Albert Lewis Hobbs, Jr.; his parents, Sam Hobbs and Nina Hobbs; and his siblings, Lucille Murphy, Edna White, Martha Hobbs, Sarah McCall, Owen Hobbs, Jimmy Smith, Sam Hobbs, Jr., Willie Hobbs and Bobby Hobbs.
He is survived by: his daughters, Valerie Brown (Timmy), Belinda Ricks and Melanie Mitchell (Deric); his grandchildren, Amanda Ricks, Jessica Ricks, Shamary Brown, LaDarius Brown, Quinton Mitchell, Demetrick Hobbs, Jacob Feltman, Tanaeja Brown, Albert Cayn Hobbs and Quincee Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Kanesha, Kayla, Kennedy White and Terryana Garrett; his great great grandchildren, Briley, Bailey Weakley, Kylan and Kinsgley Ricks; his siblings, Gloria Brown (Hurbert), Bridget Flores (Daniel), Marie Nelson and William Hobbs; his siblings-in-law, Martha Lee Graham, Johnnye Pearl Hobbs, Sharon Hill and Wilbert McCall of Leamon Murphy; his nephew Maury White; and his close friend Pam Simmons. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
