It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nova Hopkins of Gurley, Alabama, who passed away on January 9, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Robert and Jessie Florence Johnson Jones; her husband Howard Samuel Hopkins; and her siblings, Marvin Jones, Bill Jones, Howard "Finn" Jones, Russel "Jack" Jones, John Thomas Jones, Donald Jones, Wilson "Scooter" Jones, Jerry Franklin Jones, Agnes Davis and Nancy Ann Walls.
She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Hopkins Avans; and her son-in-law Steven Avans. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
