It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Edward Barnett of Gurley, Alabama, who passed away on February 14, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward Barnett, Sr. and Estelle Reed Barnett; his wife Kathryn Imogene Barnett; his sister Imogene Barnett Hoekstra; and his daughter Penny Barnett Molendijk.
He is survived by: his daughters, Judy Carol Ashworth, Nancy Gail Adkins and Brenda Willoughby (Terry Willoughby); his brothers, Randall Barnett, Lonnie Barnett and Ray Barnett; and his grandchildren, Andy Ashworth, Matt Ashworth, Lauren Ray and Bethany Voyt. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
