She was predeceased by: her husband Earmel Raymond Layman; her parents, Herbert Griffitts and Hattie Buckner Griffitts; and her sisters, Bobbie Lee Westbrook and Annie Mae Skinner.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Layman of Chatsworth, Raymond (Cindi Layman), Jeff Layman of Chatsworth and Karen; her son-in-law Brad McCollum of Guntersville, AL; and her grandchildren, Austin McCollum, Steven Aaron Drake, Kimberly Hope Layman, Christopher Stephen Layman, Lindsey McDaniel, Dusty McDaniel and Scarlett Layman. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
