He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Cowan Lopes (Hugh) and Derek Cowan (Lauren); his grandchildren, Caleb Lopes, Naomi Lopes Mann, Krymson Bonds, Wyatt Cowan and Gracelynn Cowan; his great grandchildren, Lilly Lopes and Justice Lopes; and his brother Roy George Cowan. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren, a good friend.
