He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard McElrath and Eula Mae McElrath; and his siblings, Johnny Mack McElrath and Marta Dale Borders. He is survived by: his wife Faye McElrath; his daughters, Vickie Jenkins, Kay McElrath Johnson (Michael) and Leah Love; his brother Herman McElrath (Linda); his grandchildren, Josh Richey, Alisha Adams, Venice Rowan Adams, Villyn Mae Vaughn and Anna Claire Love; and his godson Zachary Langner.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Shepherds Cove Hospice of Marshall County or Big Oak Ranch.
