She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosco B. Hopson and Helen Hopson (Rogers); her son David Smith; her sisters, Betty Sue Green and Linda Gail Cannady; and her grandsons, Joshua Barnette and Rusty Cryar.
She is survived by: her husband James L. Smith; her children, Mike Smith (Melissa), Teresa Fuell, Barbara Smith and Lisa Carole Smith; her sisters, Jan Parker and Kristi Rice; and her grandchildren, Ben Smith (Kristina), Kayla Owens (Daniel), Lacey Fuell, Amy Lemon (Matt), Brandi Markey (Jonathan), Zac Fuell and Seth Fuell.
