He was predeceased by: his parents, Theradell "Butch" Wilks and Ruth Wilks; his brother Jimmy Dale Wilks; and his mother-in-law Mable Gregory. He is survived by: his daughters, Wendy Conner (Colin), Jennifer Colburn (Tracy) and Joni Putzig (Mike); the mother of his children Rosemary; his grandchildren, Jacob McDowell, Emma Kay Putzig, Carson McDowell, Ella Grace Putzig, Mackenzie Borland, Trey Colburn and LaShae Mclntrye; and his siblings, Brenda Davis and Ronnie Wilks.
