He was predeceased by: his wife Juanita Smith; his son David Smith; his siblings, Ann Stewart and David "Bud" Smith; and his grandsons, Joshua Barnette and Rusty Cryar.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Smith (Melissa), Teresa Fuell, Barbara Smith and Lisa Carole Smith; his sister Evelyn Scott (Etheridge); and his grandchildren, Ben Smith (Kristina), Kayla Owens (Daniel), Lacey Morgan (Arleigh), Amy Bowden, Brandi Mankey (Jonathan), Zac Fuell and Seth Fuell. He is also survived by 14 Great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to Shepherds Cove Hospice.
