He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Elrod and Bonita Rice Elrod; and his siblings, James Thomas Elrod (Cowboy) and Mary Elrod Whitaker. He is survived by: his wife Glenda McCollum Elrod; his children, Jeff Edward Elrod (Rena) and Kelly Minette Waldrop (Wally); his grandchildren, Wesley O'Neal Waldrop (Haley), Jake Lawson (Kara) and Macy Grace Elrod; his great grandchildren, McCollum O'Neal Waldrop (Mack), Grady Chandler Waldrop, Hunter Lawson and Kimber Lawson; and his siblings, Jody Elrod (Joan), Wanda Pledger, Sheridan Edmonds (Johnny), Charlene Stone (David), Tina Taylor, Cynthia Bizarth (Chuck) and Donna Cochran.
