He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bultemeyer and Milda Bultemeyer (Scheumann); his former spouse Carma L. Nelson; and his siblings, Steven Bultemeyer, Kay Stoppenhagen and Eileen Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bultemeyer of Gulf Shores, Alabama; his children, Douglas G. Bultemeyer of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Deborah S. Dobrovodsky (Roger) of Zionsville and Diane K. Ray (John) of Carmel, Indiana; his siblings, Richard Bultemeyer of Fort Wayne, Edward Bultemeyer (Bonnie) of Decatur, Indiana, James Bultemeyer (Cheryl) of Decatur, Indiana, Fritz Bultemeyer (LouAnn) of Decatur, Indiana, Stan Bultemeyer of Decatur, Indiana, Jerry Bultemeyer of Decatur, Indiana, Marlene Duffey of Fort Wayne, Rosie Bultemeier (Waldo) of Decatur and Connie Hawkins of Decatur, Indiana; his grandchildren, Cara Michelle Fay (Kory), Jenna Marie Anderson (Alex) and John Conner Ray; and his great grandchildren, Samuel Elias Fay, Lucy Jo Fay, Hezekiah Lukas Fay, Matilda Sue Anderson and Arlo Wallace Anderson. He is also survived by three step-great-grandchildren.
