He was predeceased by: his spouse Delores Harrod Watkins; his parent Sloan Watkins; and his son Richard Elton Watkins. He is survived by: his parent Bruce Watkins Heaton; his children, Dee Ann Watkins Wood (Keith) of Gray Court and Patrice Watkins Parker (Robert) of Hoover, AL; his daughter-in-law Lisa Watkins of Gulf Shores, AL; his brother Curtis Watkins (Polly) of Chelsea, AL; his grandchildren, Sydney W. McGhee (Chase), Brynn E. Parker and Avery K. Wood; and his great grandchild Richard Lane McGhee.
