He is survived by: his wife Edie Melancon Lockhart of Gulf Shores; his children, Christopher Lockhart of Dallas, TX, Andrew Lockhart of Longview, TX and Kristen Streed of Hallsville, TX; his stepchildren, Josh Athey of Lufkin, TX and Jodie Applewhite of Arlington, VA; and his siblings, Jeff Lockhart (Margaret), Jon Lockhart and Jeannie Ritchie (Jerry). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
