He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rachel Deshotels Godwin; his sons, Justin (Maggie), Daniel (Paige) and Austin; his grandchildren, Jameson, Jack and Everett; his brothers, Randy Godwin (Tina) and Jeff Godwin (Lynn); and his parents, Patricia Kitchens Crick and Dewey L. Godwin. He was also cherished by many nieces And nephews.
