Mary Shirey Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Shirey of Guin, Alabama, born in Sulligent, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy O'Mary and Willie Mae Barnes O'Mary; her children, Bryan Shirey and Mary Shirey; her brothers, Roger O'Mary, Michael O'Mary, Charles O'Mary and Gary O'Mary; and her brother-in-law Eugene Whittle.
She is survived by: her husband Raymond Keith Shirey; her daughter Jennifer Yvonne Duckworth (Danny); her grandsons, Ryan Shirey (Katlyn) and Cody Duckworth (Kailee Johnson); her stepgranddaughters, Tiffany Thompson (Gage) and Kristyn Duckworth Murphy (Logan); her great grandchild Raiden Keith Shirey; her siblings, Kenneth O'Mary (Pam), Wanda Allen (Joe) and Barbara Goode (Danny); and her sister-in-law Yvonne Whittle (Eugene). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel (981 AL-253, Winfield, AL 35594). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at the Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery (6909 AL-253, Guin, AL 35563).
