She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Rogers and Willie Moses Rogers; her husbands, Arnold Roberts and John Cochran; her daughter Merline Nix; her brothers, Melvin and Marvin Rogers; and her sons-in-law, Roger Ray and Tommy Nix Sr..

She is survived by: her daughter Janie Ray; and her grandchildren, Tommy Nix Jr. (Sissy), Terry Nix (Dusty), Donald Kilgore (Christy), Dale Kilgore (Lisa), David Kilgore (Teresa), Cathy Westbrook, Melissa Hollingsworth (Josh) and Megan Dodd (Jason). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
