She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Fleeta Spruiell (Don) of Sulligent, AL; her grandsons, Phillip Wates (Sabrina) of Guin, AL and Richard Wates (Marsha) of Huntsville, AL; her great grandchildren, Garrett Wates (Katherine) of Birmingham, AL, Kailee Wates of Woodstock, GA, Mary Beth Jones (Ryan) of Huntsville, AL and Peyton Wates (Hannah) of Huntsville, AL; and her great great grandchildren, Holland Wates, Harper Wates and Birdie Wates.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Veal Memorial Funeral Home - Guin (7195 US-43, Guin, AL 35563). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Green Springs Missionary Baptist Cemetery Fund.
