She was predeceased by: her son Jeffery Lee Akers; her husband Marvin Akers; her parents, John Cooley and Ollie Cooley; and her siblings, Catherine Reeder, Margaret Oaks, Minnie Powell, Mary Louise Roth, Henrietta Cooley, Junior Cooley, Jim Cooley and Robert Cooley.
She is survived by: her siblings, Ruby Shaw of Evelyn Pennington, John Cooley (Jackie) and Harvey Cooley. She is also survived by two grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
