It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josie Merle Callaway of Grove Hill, Alabama, who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Ulysses and Mattie Pearle Stephens; her husband Elba "Al" Callaway; her children, Elba Callaway, Jr., Kathy Wright and Cindy Marshall; her sons-in-law, Mike Bailey and Bob Holbrook; and her siblings, Earl Stephens, William Stephens, Larry Stephens and Dorothy Newton.
She is survived by: her children, Perry Lee Callaway (Ginger), Sherrill Bailey and Margaret Holbrook; and her son-in-law Jimmy Marshall. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren.
