It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elsie Cody of Grove Hill, Alabama, born in Whatley, Alabama, who passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearl Glenn Pugh and Lee Franklin Pugh; her husband Clifford Cody; her daughters, Barbara Neal Cody, Patricia Ann Cody and Mary Ann Cody; her brothers, Willie and Johnny Charles Pugh; her son-in-law John D. Lattimore; and her granddaughter Casey Cody.
She is survived by: her daughters, Arthurine Lattimore of Whatley and Sharon Cody of Manchester, Conn.; and her siblings, Pearl Rankins of Grove Hill, Marion "Boosie" James (Elbert) of Grove Hill, Tommie Earl Pugh of Grove Hill and Larry Pugh (Bessie) of Grove Hill. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
