He is survived by: his nephew Samuel Euguene New III; his son Billy "Van" VanLandingham Nichols (Alisha); and his nieces and nephews, Jerry Douglas New (Joan), John Hurtis Tomlinson, Jr. (Chris), David Nichols Tomlinson (Karen), Martha Ann New Chandler (Tommy), Janet Lynn Nichols Rachel (James), Angela Fawn Nichols Dunnam (Glenn), Glenn Dunnam, Tommy Chandler, James Rachel, Jonathan Rachel and Nicholas Rachel of Bill's Sunday School. He is also survived by cousins, grand and multi-grand nieces and nephews.
