He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lou McConnell Boan and Andy B. Boan; and his siblings, Grace Boan Page and James Cary Boan. He is survived by: his wife Laurice Dean Boan; his sons, Alan Dale Boan (Kristin), Barry Edward Boan (Margie) and Dean Eugene Boan; his grandchildren, Weldon Boan, Emelyn Boan, Anna Sanford Boan, Barry Edward Boan, Jr. (Lauren), Wynn Boan Causey (Matt) and Olivia Laurice Boan; his great grandchildren, Powell Ward Causey, Reese Elizabeth Causey and Amelia Grace Causey; his niece Andrea Page Cain (Hubert); his great-niece Lynn Cain Cooper; and his great-nephew Cy Cain (Allison).
