He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Newton and Dollie Newton; his siblings, Kathryn Head and Douglas Newton; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Ridley Newton and Charles Head.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Newton; his children, Peytie Cole (Jimmy), Nancy Hartley (Greg) and Mac Newton; his grandchildren, Haley Cole, Phillip Cole (Brook Tegenkamp), Garrett Hartley (Anna Logan), Taylor Hartley, Aubrey Newton and Kellan Newton; his siblings, Betty Taylor (Johnny), Eddie Newton and Jimmy Newton (Jeanette); and his sister-in-law Glenda Newton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
