He is survived by: his mother Nora Proffer Ahrens (late Orville) of Jackson; his wife Melissa Humes Ahrens of Greenville, Alabama; his children, Tyanha Humes (Chris Pitt) of Greenville and Dakota Farley of Mulino, Oregon; his grandchildren, Denali Humes, Case, Everett, Finley and Paxton Pitt; his siblings, Donna Cook (Dennis) of Jackson, Brenda Butler (Steve) of Friedheim and Mark Ahrens (Abby) of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; and his nieces and nephews, Mollie Rhodes (Billy), Ashley Dunn (Trevor), Hunter Cook, Kayla Legrand (Justin), Paul and Hannah Ahrens. He is also survived by three great-nephews.
